Would you like to give your students an inside look at how an airport operates and the wide range of activities that take place there?
At Lugano Airport, companies such as Avilu SA, Aeroclub, Lugano Airport, and Skyguide are pleased to guide you through an engaging and educational experience.
We welcome elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as other groups, for on-site visits, offering them a unique opportunity to explore the airport and learn about its daily operations.
To book your visit at the airport you should send an e-mail request to info@luganoairport.ch. Requests must be received at least 15 days before the visit and it will be confirmed by e-mail.
It is required the presence of a teacher for every 10 children, the maximum number of participants for each group will have to be evaluated from time to time.
We accept one school visit per month but, subject to availability, if we have already assigned a visit to another school for the requested month, we will suggest you the next available date possible. Appointments are scheduled in chronological order by arrival of applications.
Visits are usually, except for operational commitments, in the morning at 09:00/10:00 with a duration of two hours max.
Thus, we may have the need to cancel your visits without prior notice for operational reasons. In that case, we will contact you to program your visit again as soon as possible.
During the summer season, and more precisely during June, July and August, visits are suspended due to increased air traffic and operations.
